Photos NOT OK to edit
Like the title says, it's been a while since I have posted in here. So I wanted to show you some of my work from 2010.

Below are a couple shots from several automotive shoots I did this year. I am Head of Photography for Rat Rod Magazine, so most of my work is rat rods.

I take a very unique approach to automotive photography. I find elaborate or unique backgrounds that compliment or contrast the car. From time to time I also use HDR and other post processing techniques usually frowned upon my the automotive photography industry, but it works for my shots.

I don't use a rig, I hang out the window of a chase car to get these.

I'll stop there for now. I'll probably add a few more shots later.

Comments, critiques, and questions are welcome.

Thanks.

Here is some of the HDR work I was talking about.

Both of these shots are 7 exposures mashed together. I use Photomatix and then tweak them in Photoshop.

I like them all... they all look great, especially the non HDR's. I love #1 & #5 and you're panning/motion blur shots are sharp. I don't know if that was done in PP, but if you didn't, you nailed it.

Those rolling shots were done shooting from a chase car.

Basically we drive down the road, in this case we were going about 45 miles per hour. I hang out of the window of the chase car and shoot the subject car.

To get shots that sharp I click away. 1 in 15-20 shots are crisp enough to use.

So no, I didn't do those in PP. :)

Thanks for the compliments.
