I'm learning that it's better to have a tripod when I'm doing these but what do you think about this shot? Is the ghosting to noticable? Is it to "cartoonish"? It seems to have some type of clipping in the middle to the cloud (about 2 o'clock from the orange part on the bottom) would you have noticed any of these things if I didn't mention them? Sorry for the big size but I have to so that you can see the stuff that I'm talking about.

Hey, I moved this from the Critique Forum over to Graphics, as this has more to do with a graphics "how to" than photography critique. Thanks!

Off the cuff, I'd say oversaturation is the biggest problem.

did you shoot 3 shots hand held? or did you use one raw?

Three shots +/- 1ev. auto bracketted.

Thanks, but even if I desaturate it (in which I do agree) there still seems to be some type clipping. Does anybody see it? Or am I just off my rocker?

The hardest part about this whole thing is that this is also multiple shots put together. In order for photomatix to combine the pictures they have to be the same sizes (i.e. 500x333 or whatever). In stitching I almost never get the same sizes so when I resize them to the same size they are always off in certain areas and not in others. What I've tried also is to do it the opposite way to. HDR the individual pictures them put them together after but then I always get places that are darker in one picture and in the other quite a bit lighter. Does anybody know a great way of doing HDR stitched pictures?

Take one RAW file and split it into three different exposures if you cant use a tripod to take 3 similar shots.

I learned to make HDRs from this site: http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr-guide/

I think its a pretty good guide.

Ive only gotten better with each try at making HDRs.

Thanks for the HDR tutorial. Photoshop CS2 isnt very good at explaining HDR. Thanks again

That still doesn't solve the problem of when stitching they will almost never match up correctly.

The thing that makes it look cartoonish is your photography logo on the bottom...

the only problem i see is that you are taking HDR images of moving objects, giving you ghosting.

I downloaded some script fonts there to use as my little signing thing.
