Bynx was right, image is heavily distorted. Tried to work with that along with adding a bit of flavor to the sky and bringing down the highlights on the front.

Nice image, fun to work with.

I often end up liking other people's edits better than my own. I suppose that's a sign that I need to work on my processing. How are you controlling the highlights so well?

As long as you have taken a shot for the highlights, they take care of themselves in the processing.
