Heading South

This is in a wildlife reserve in South Florida. I was taking some pictures of the sunset and I saw this line of birds coming in from behind the tree there and set to continuous and fired away. I love how nicely the birds seem to follow the contour of the clouds.

You lopped off the foreground. You have a lot of great workable hues in this.

I did lop off the foreground because it was pretty much black and didn't seem to add much to the picture. Do you think it would be stronger with the blackness on the bottom? There's no recoverable detail there, so it'd just be... black.

Incidentally, I took a look at your website and wow. Really beautiful stuff. I love, love, love the deep, rich colors in your fine art section.

beautiful shot... i think even if bottom part is without any detail, you may retain a few more centimeters to make a balance with bright region..... Liked it as such too !!!
