Heh, good point about the forum being an easy way to read about other people's direct photography experiences. Not that that substitutes your own experience, but it's sure worthwhile.

I'm a new user too, and to be honest, I only have a cheap $20 digital camera and I've usually taken pictures from my friends and family's camera. It's time for me to invest in my own, in something more substantial but still for beginner. And I enjoy photography, so I hope to learn the basics here.
