Hello from Chicago

Hey,
I regained an interest in photography which i thought i lost because of my 8th grade photo teacher.
Currently using a Sony Cybershot DSC-H10, but i was thinking about getting a Nikon D60 or D80 before the end of the summer so i can bring it to Africa with me (I'm going to Tanzania and really hope to get some good time behind the camera while there) for better ranged shots (the Sony only goes so far--darn built in lenses).

But i guess this is my introduction. For a while I'm sure my questions will seem stupid, but i would like to put out a "thank you" now to all who take the time to help me with any problems or questions i may discover based off little or no knowledge.
