Hello,
Nice forum here.
I've been an amateur for about 15 years now. I started with film (35mm), and ended up with digital. I've owned 2 film SLR's Minolta and Canon. I've owned 3 DSLR's. Canon D60, Nikon D200 and Nikon D300.
I've been a Computer Programmer for 20 years, so I'm a pretty technical guy. I understand most of the technicalities of photography. However, I'm lacking in art, so my shots aren't very creative. I do have a lot of fun taking photos, and I'd like to improve my creative skills.
I'd say I'm more of a landscape, astro, non-moving target shooter. I love hiking in the woods and around water. It seems harder to make a bad shot of nature. I also really like night photography. Lights and colors are my favorite.
I'm looking forward to spring, because I want to do a lot of shooting this year. Anyway, I'll post some shots, when I get some time. Go easy on me, but I'd appreciate any advice, suggestions, pointers etc.
Thanks for reading.
