Hello from San Francisco

Finally found time to take a break from work (which has been really hectic as of late), dusted off my new years resolution list, and realized that I haven't made an effort to get back into photography. I photograph football during the fall and winter, but thought that by joining a forum, I could stay motivated to take photos year-round and to grow my portfolio a lot more.

So here's to the first step - being surrounded by a great photography community who will challenge and support me.

San Francisco is my second favorite US city and a great place for photography.
Your building must be in SOMA and that's 80 going across the Bay, yes?

TPF is a good venue, lots of interesting work and a good deal of expertise.

Yes - The roof view is from a building in SOMA facing east looking over the 80. If SF is your second favorite city, may I inquire as to what are your first and third favorite city for photography?

First is New York City, just because of the amount and variety of people to shoot.
Third is Washington, DC, because of the huge numbers of protests and demonstrations.

First worldwide is a multi-way tie among NYC, Bangkok, Yangon and Hanoi; all of them wonderful for street shooting.
