Photos NOT OK to edit
Well having poked around for a couple of days, I thought it time to say hello. I have to say that I am impressed with the overall feel of this forum. Some very helpful and talented people.

I took up photography after buying a Canon 7D for video. Boy this camera is so much more complicated than the Sony point and press I gave to my wife.

It is a great learning experience though and I look forward to spending "way too much time" here.

Cheers team.

Hey Eric
You guys are really starting to depress me now about my lack of talent. I am just amazed at yours and many others talent with their cameras. Very nice job indeed on St. Louis mate. I'm not actually from St. Louis. I am Scottish. Came to the USA about 12 years ago after traveling all over the world. My biggest regret is not having as many pictures of my travels as I would have liked. But thanks for the welcome and the humbling pictures. I feel that what I need to do is look at your pictures and see why they look so good. What is it that makes them better than my own and analyze how to try for the same feeling. At the moment I am not at one with my camera and everything is a conscious effort. But it will come with time.

Thanks for sharing your pictures and the welcome.

Cheers

Hello Jim. I'm not from Scotland, but my ancestors were. Does that count? I've always wanted to go there to see the Highlands in person.

I like St. Louis. I have photos in 90% of the suburbs in St. Louis county and 85% of the neighborhoods in the city.

the best place to take photos in StL is south city.

Sure that counts mate. :D But yes you have to see the Highlands. Just make sure you dress warm. You can ask my American wife about how cold it is in the summer over there.

Cheers

Welcome from another newbie. Love St Louis. Been there once on a business trip. Actually landed there a couple times for a moment. Tons of great Disc Golf there and home of a great disc maker, Gateway Discs.
