Hello, my name is Lucas, from western Pennsylvania. I just joined this forum after having bought a new camera and searching for advice. I'm a "hobbyist", I suppose, definitely not
to a point that I would even consider taking photos as anything but a form of entertainment. I had been using a Canon Powershot A60 for the past 2-3 years for basically just snapshots. Last weekend I purchased a Canon digital Rebel XT, with an 18-55mm EFS lens and a 75-300mm EF lens. My main subjects are my pets, nephew and friends. I'm looking forward to learning everything I can from the knowledgeable folks here.

A few examples of what I've accomplished in the last week....

I'm sure I will post some more to get more advice in the future.
