Welcome to TPF.

I call your 1 cat and raise you 2 cats. I have 3.
I'm also 65 and single.
The last time I was in Reno, last October, I stayed for about 20 minutes. Then I had to get back on the train - Amtrak's California Zephyr. So I was in Reno for about 20 minutes twice last October - once westbound and again eastbound on my way back to Iowa.
It's a trip I take pretty much yearly these days because IMO commercial air travel sucks and should be avoided whoever possible.
