Hi, I'm Chris. I'm a senior in HS and I've been doing photography for less than a year at school. I love it. I've been a part of skateboard specfic photo forums, but the comments/critiques there have been biased towards action shots, so I figured I'd try somewhere more mature and open minded.

Heres a shot from a couple weeks ago. Not an extremely strong image, but I like it nonetheless.

I don't think the snow paid any attention to the sign!

Nice shot but I think it could do with a little more contrast?:D

The snow stuck on the sign is what compelled me to take the picture.

As for contrast, it's a scan of a print...they always lose contrast in the scan...and honestly...I don't care to take the time to fix it in PS for just online posting. For example, in the print...the sky is just gradually thinner grain from bottom to top instead of the random darkness/grain in the scan.

thanks.

I find the same with my scanner too!:grumpy: I usually add about 5-10% contrast to even it out & get it to look like the print. (I hate posting a photo I've worked hard on to get right just to have the electronics mess it up!:x )

good eye, the snow on the sign definitely makes the photo for me!

To get accurate critiques you may need to adjust your scans to do your pictures justice, unless you just want critiques on your compositions?

:)

Actually....critiques on composition would be great.
