hello, I am new to the forum and photography. I currently don't have any equipment worth mentioning (just a kodak point and shoot) but I am comparison shopping for a DSLR to maybe get me into this stuff. Think I am going to order the Canon rebel EOS XS. Looking to get into this as a hobby and just kinda play around a bit.

Yeah, I've heard good things about the rebel's. I'm still very much a newbie though so my opinion is worth diddly. By the looks of it and the specs it should do everything I need and more (for now ) I cannot wait for it to come though!
