Hi everyone! My name is Katie and I'm a stay at home mom to a super cool 3 year old boy and one of the happiest 7 month old girls I've ever met. They are the reason I'm looking into and learning more about photography. They are pretty cute in my opinion! I just bought (last week!) a Canon 20D with a 35-70mm lens super sweet craigslist score!!) and am looking to learning what I can to best capture my kids' essence!:mrgreen:

Welcome aboard Katie. The 20D was a great camera in it's day and still is. I've got a couple of them that I still use on occasion.
I think you might be a bit limited with only a 35-70mm lens....it will be hard to shoot indoors because 35mm won't give you a wide enough view.
I'd suggest looking for an EF-S 18-55mm lens. It the typical lens that comes with most Canon cameras, and they should be cheap and easy to find on Craigslist etc.
