TPF Noob!
Hi there,
I'm here to learn! I've been interested in Photography for a long time, and until now I've never had the opportunity to really get involved in learning. I will be the first to admit to my limited (a slight understatement
) knowledge. I have a good idea of the camera I'm going to start with, but I have lots of questions as well. I hope to be met with respect and maturity here, because I've seen some not so mature things on here and let's just say that's not my style. It's easy to sit behind a computer and tear an unknown "user" to shreds without a second thought, but the real challenge is treating people how you would like to be treated face to face. I hope that I can learn a lot and get some useful insight here.
I guess it would help to say a little about myself and identify my goals... I'm married and pregnant with our first child. I want to take this time to get a decent grasp on the basics before the baby arrives next May. My goal is to be able to do newborn pics myself, and I also want to dabble in photographing animals, with a focus on Horses. If this leads to an actual business (I would only ever want to work for myself), that would be fantastic, but I want to worry about my actual skill level first and foremost. I have very discerning tastes in photography, so I really hope that will be a good asset for me to critique myself and get better.
I guess that's all for now!
