Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hi photoforum

I've had a DSLR for about 3 and a half years now but I only recently started taking photos again after about 6 months, so I thought I would find a new forum as unfortunately the one i used to frequent has somewhat died since I last visited.

I spend most of my time on macro photography, so I do love to talk macro equipment and techniques!

I also do pretty much every other type of photography when the opportunity arises, but my main focus is macro, so feel free to ask how I set up my camera etc. because I did find it hard when I first started out to get the right set up which allowed well exposed 1:1 macro with a flash.

Oh and Happy new year!

Here's some of my past photos from my flickr, I do intend to get back into macro this year but because I live in the UK I generally have to wait till April before the insects which I like to photograph are out in the woods by my house.

Look forward to talking about photography again!

Have a great new year everyone :)

Welcome to the site. I like #2, had to go look at the full size version though. It looks like the focus is on the wing to me but the eye isn't really out of focus.

Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Hey!

These butterflies are pretty big, so the f stop I used was big, therefore the entire body is pretty much in focus as well as some of the wing as you said :p It actually worked to my advantage as I didn't have to worry about a narrow 'plane' of focus

I'll keep a look out for your posts on the forum!
