Help Me Find a Camera!

Okay, I want a 35 mm SLR which can be use a 50 mm f/1.4 or f/2, it needs to manual focus but have both a manual and automatic exposure mode...

And under 100 dollars...

What should I get?

Look at the Nikon F, FE, FE2, FM, FG, Canon AE, Pentax K1000, those types.

I suggest the FE from personal experience.

Pretty much anything fits the bill. Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Minolta, Olympus, Fuji, Konica, Ricoh, Chinon...

If I'm not mistaken you have a Canon digital SLR... therefore I can see two options if you want to have maximum compatibility and use lenses between film and digital. First is of course to buy an autofocus Canon EOS 35mm and use it on manual focus... all autofocus SLRs offer manual focus anyway and most if not all offer manual exposure control. Second, if you would rather have an older manual-focus-only system, is to buy either a Nikon (like one of those Sw1tchFX mentioned) or M42 screwmount system, as with either of these the lenses will be useable on your digital EOS with the appropriate adapter.
