Help Needed: Even lighting on DIY green screen

How do I get even lighting/color on my homemade green screen? This is what happens when I try and make my background white.

It's possible your software is total crap. I recommend Photo Key. If the light source is larger than the subject, evenness shouldn't be a problem. Consider a diffuser or two lights to provide more comprehensive coverage. The screen should be no less than one stop darker than the light on the subject, and no brighter than one stop over. Use a hand-held meter to verify exposure across the screen.
