Hi,

Not sure ive posted this in the rite section but here gos...

Ive jus got a new computer and the colours look a bit weird. I was wondering if there is any way to adjust all monitor settings to a "standard". The reason being that when I edit photos in photoshop I want them to look the same as when I print them off. Does anyone no how I can change brightness, contrast and various colour options to a standard?

thanks for any help!

tom

Photoshop comes with a monitor calibration program. It shows you a series of pictures and tells you what settings to adjust to get the look you want. Then the program creates a profile for your monitor which you set as the default in Photoshop.

There are also commercial packages that do the whole thing automatically. They start at around $100, if I remember correctly.

Spyder/Pantone came out with a $100 spyder. It's called ColorVision.

Retail is $150 but they should have special for $99
