Help w/Poses?

A friend of mine volunteered me to do some family portraits for some friends of hers and I told her I would do them if I could do some "test" shots on posing people I know first. If I liked what I did, sure, I would do theirs-just not for them to expect something like a professional (because I am SO far from it!). Anyway, it is just a married couple and their young daughter...I think she's like 5 or 6 maybe? And that's a big maybe...I know she's young. I am looking for cute ideas for some poses beside the 'classic' family poses. Any suggestions? I want to do something beyond the norm so any help is appreciated. (by the way, they'd be done next month thereabout so early Fall).

I'd suggest something personal - some activity that they as a family like sharing, or some place they spend a lot of family time at.

Make sure theirs clothes are coordinated.
