Help with DOF

Please help me with improving the sharpness of this image. I assume my DOF is not correct.

Nikon 700
70-300
Focal length 70mm
ISO 200
Speed 1/400
f10
No Post Production

Why do you think your DOF is not correct?
What did you want to be in focus and out of focus?

I would like for it to be sharp all the way out to the middle of the flying birds.

Look at the DOF chart. (DOFmaster.com)
With the 70 mm focal length, you can't get everything that you want in focus.
Sharpening the image won't help.
A shorter focal length or birds that are closer to the primary focal point will.

Which 70-300? One of Nikon's 3 - 70-300's or one of the many 3rd party 70-300?

If it is Nikon's el cheapo, POS, AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6G, forget about it.
