Help with Editing

I took some pictures of one of my friends. We both love this picture and would like to use it for her canvas print. I am not happy about some the shadowing on her face and arm. Under her nose and her chin and (R) arm. Too much contrast between light and dark. Any help on how to smooth these areas out would be greatly appreciated.

Use Dodge to make it lighter or Burn to make it darker. Set the pressure low (20%).

There is software that I have seen used just for this kind of situation. It works with PS and/or LR. It may even be a stand alone program, I am not sure.

I do not work for the company or get paid either. I use the software and really like the control I have with it.
