Help with Lens Decision--suggestions needed!

Hello everyone,
I am looking to get a prime telephoto lens for my d70. Is there anything reasonably priced out there <$400? I was hoping to get a used nikor f/4 but they keep jumping up in price too. Can anyone point me to a nice 300mm tele with tripod mount? It can be used, but it great condition. Thanks a ton everyone! I really have done searching on my own with poor results.

Oh yeah, it doesnt have to be too fast. I want to take shots at the local zoo during the day.

www.ffordes.co.uk have some good stuff. I bought the 300mm ED F4 and its superb. They will deliver too, but you would need to enquire how much to the US

Your best bet is probably ebay. I got one for $425 from a guy in IL. If you would rather go through a reputible online shop like bhphotovideo.com then you will pay close to $600 for a quality 300mm f/4 ED-IF.
