Hello! *waves*

I've just bought a 50mm 1.8 AF lens (a nifty fifty!) for my Nikon D3100, and surprisingly am finding it quite nice and easy to manual focus using the rangefinder.

My problem is that most of my images are coming out way too bright. I've tried adjusting aperture, ISO etc but am I doing something wrong? Nothing seems to be working. On a plus note in low light conditions the pictures are coming out lovely :)

Is the aperture ring on the lens turned all the way to the f/22 and locked in place before mounting to the body?

Yes :) Managed to suss that bit out! Been practising all afternoon and after playing around with shutter speed have finally managed to get it right. Out into the real world to take some pics now! :)

Are you shooting in Shutter priority or Manual mode? Could it be that your shutter speed is set too low?

Seeing as he said he finally managed to get it right after playing around with the shutter speed I'd say you basically nailed it Trever. ;)
