is this a good deal? I am shooting on a full frame and 'trying' to capture indoor volleyball with my Nikon 70-300 4.5/5.6. Results are not very good
Would the VRI be okay vs the VRII

[h=2]Nikon Nikkor 70-200 2.8 VRI - $1450 (Durham)[/h]

here is a review if you don't know this lens. It still is one of the best ever made by Nikon.

I don't know what the going rate is for the lens, but YES. It would be great for indoor volleyball.

it's a VRI
trying to see how this compares to the 80-200 2.8
any advice?

I've never used it but I know the AF is faster, it's sharper at 2.8 than the 80-200, and it has VR. That being said, the 80-200 is no slouch.
