I hope I'm placing this question in the correct category.

My question...which lens and settings (I know, it depends on the amount of light but just in general) is best for taking photos of houses for sale. I think, I'll need a wide angle lens. I wanting to take pictures inside and outside of the house.

Any camera will work, try to get something with a wider lens: 20mm-40mm area should do. I'd suggest going about an hour before sunset, that should give you some good light to make the houses more appealing visual. Also shooting in digital means take as many shots as your memory card will hold.
