I'm getting a little closer to the creatures every day This is a 2012 model that was cheaper than I was expecting so I couldn't resist. EF300 f4 IS.
I just wish it wasn't so god awful ugly!

It sounds like there's a cooling fan in there when that IS kicks in. Definitely will take getting used to. It may be light compared to other super teles, but it's the heaviest lens I've used.

Nice new toys.
That combination will take you a few missed shots to get bif into frame, but once you do I'm sure you'll be happy.

Found some herons today. They look good on the LCD. Can't wait to get them uploaded.
