Hello everyone! I am just getting into photography and looking for a camera. Have been reading a lot of reviews and checking them out in the shops. So many choices its hard to make a decision. I would like to do a wide range of photography, from fast action sports to micro aquarium shots and some scenery shots as well. Im looking for something entry level ~$1000 give or take. I am stuck between the Cannon 50D and Nikon D90. From what I have read both are great cameras and you cant go wrong. What is everyone's opinion on the situation?

Well I have been using Nikon since high school so I am biased and will say Nikon D90. Welcome to TPF and enjoy your stay.
