Hey! chiming in from upstate NY

Hey photographers, new to the site, am very interested in getting into photography. Dont know to much about it really, well nothing. All i know is that i had the only A+ in my highschool class! lol

I enjoy capturing nice images from mostly nature. Im here to try and get advice on a camera to buy for around 250$. Im looking for the proffessional (SLR?) ones where you adjust the focus on your own. Im also interested in getting something that takes nice close up pictures. Do i need to buy a seperate lens for this (Macro?)?

I will post more in another section, just thought that i would say hey to everybody, i hope i can show you all beutiful images of the Adirondack wilderness when i get my first good camera!
