Hey everyone! I figured I ought to post a proper introduction thread after making my first post in the Marketplace . I've been reading the site for a few months now, but I've never posted. My interest in photography started way back when I was probably about 12, when I got my first compact Sony Digital camera. Now, at 18 and in college, I decided that I needed a new camera. I went with the S95 because I wanted something that could take some real quality shots. I absolutely loved it.

That is, until I had the itch to go bigger. My whole justification for spending the money on the S95 was that I wouldn't have to upgrade for a while. Well, after a few months of deliberation I decided to take the plunge and get a Nikon D3100. I really love it! I'm looking forward to learning a lot, I've got a pretty good handle on the basics of using the camera in manual. I look forward to learning a lot more with the help of TPF!
