Hey from Minneapolis

Hi everyone! I am pretty new to photography. I have been getting more and more interested in the last year or so. About a year ago I went and bought a Nikon D3000. I was really just looking for a new hobby and right away I fell in love with what photography has to offer. I started taking pictures for my friends and their kids which has been fun. I made a website and have now gotten a few calls to do some paid gigs.

I was contacted a few weeks ago to shoot my first WEDDING! At first I said no because I thought it might be too big of a job. The woman is someone I know and she has insisted that I do it! The wedding is in October and I am already freaking out. Any suggestions on what kind of lenses would be a MUST have to shoot a wedding.

Welcome aboard. I would suggest searching the forums for "first wedding". After that, I would suggest going somewhere and getting a flame retardant suit.

uh yeah. Weddings are a once in a lifetime event (hopefully) and are probably one of the most demanding shoots. LOL @ Flame-suit...uh, just be prepared.
