Hey Everyone,

My name is Philippe. I'm 31 years old and live in San Diego, CA. I came upon this site via Google. I've been looking for a great Photography community, and I think I've came up on it.

I've been a fan of Photography for as long as I can remember, and have wanted to do Photography since I was in High School. It wasn't until about 2 months ago that I took that first step towards this hobby and bought my first Digital SLR. I wanted something nice, but nothing fancy just yet. I current use a Nikon D40x with the 18-55mm kit lens. I LOVE IT! I have a 55-200mm VR lens on order, and am looking to broaden my horizons with it very soon!

So yeah I have been teaching myself Photography for the last two months now. Mostly trial and error. I've been reading a lot of literature on the subject, and hope that my photography will get better as time goes on.
