Hi folks - new to the site

Hi everyone,

New to the forum, thought I'd introduce myself.

- I recently moved to London from Ireland
- photography has been a hobby of mine on and off for about 15 years (I started young)
- only recently picked up a DSLR
- taking my first few steps playing with digital

In the past I've mostly taken sports pics. Had a couple of years there where I completely lost all interest, but I'm trying to get back into the groove. If nothing else - there's a lot to work with in London, so I'm happy to be giving things a go. Won't be focusing on anything specifically, more a case of going off for a wander with my camera at wkends and seeing what happens.

I should really add this to what I said previously - I'm trying to get away from taking snaps, or from taking pics as a way of recording an event. I'll admit to being a little reticient, but the reason I joined here was to try to become more creative and think about photography as art rather than the way I did before.
