Hi there I've just started out in this exciting new hobby of mine. Just doing a lot of research and reading a few books. Oh and of course getting out there and taking pictures.

Be sure to read http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/...rum-photo-gallery/123160-tutorial-thread.html In your journey in finding books make sure you pick up at least "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. You may also want to pick up "Learning to see Creatively" by Bryan as well. Post a few shots you have taken recently asking for C&C. It will be nice to see how you grow when you look back later on to what you started out with.

Thanks John. Im going to my library this week so I'll pick up a couple the books you've mentioned.
As a beginner I'm shooting a Panasonic Lumix g2. So far I like I've only been on holiday with it for the past two weeks and back at home for the week end. Had fun experimenting tho.
Starting college in the next few months too.
