Hello,

My name is Dyan Indriyani. And i am a stage photographer specialised in Wayang (a Javanese traditional art theatrical performance that employs puppets or human dancers).

I have been a Wayang photographer for 5 years now and the main reason why i became a Wayang photographer is because i want to introduce Wayang to the international world.

There are two types of Wayang. One is what we call Wayang Kulit or Shadow Puppets, where all the Wayangs (puppets) are made of cow skin. The other one is Wayang Orang or Human Dancers wherease the Wayangs are played by real dancers.
