Hey, all! I'm new to the forum, just been nosing around a bit over the last few days. I'm wanting to get into photography, and am trying to learn. The local college is doing a few courses coming up, and I'm sure I'll learn a lot there (as well as on this forum).
I do have a question, though, that's probably been asked a hundred times today. As I have to have a camera with interchangeable lenses for the classes, I'd like to hear some opinions on which camera I should get. I've been using my aunt's Canon Rebel XS, and I like it pretty well. It seems to take pretty good pictures from what I can tell, but I don't know much yet about different features and such.
I've also heard good things about Nikon, but have no experience with them.
I figured I'd start with something used and go from there if I really get into photography. I'm ok with spending maybe $650 or so. I'd love to pick up a camera and start using it within the next week if possible, so I'm hoping to get some good advice over the next few days.
Thanks in advance! I'm glad to be here!
Tami
