Hi Just joined the group, I am in Windsor Ontario and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of a Canon SX50. I have been using a Pentax KX for the last couple of years but wanted something for "record and identification shots" while birding.

Hmm, you went from a DSLR to a bridge camera ? Though it does make sense if you don't want to drop a lot of money into a long lens for birding id shots.
