There were all around the neighborhood and then suddenly they all took flight and disappeared into the sky.

cool!... i love that film..... and this does have similarities!.... like the second shot best were they're all in the tree. Good capture

Cool shots Mike. I like the second capture best. Killer movie too.

nice :) and grr I see that not only me have a problem with chromatic abberation... I can see it in the firs shot of yours. but actually in such pics it is easy to remove in PS...

Thanks everyone.

Mentos, you should have seen the very edges of that first shot, before I cropped...there was a lot of purple fringing. It was really starting to come out with my tweaks for detail & contrast.

I guess my 75-300 4/5.6 III USM lens, is abberific

The second one is really cool, I also like the last, thats a lot of birds!

So that is where all the local Bohemian Waxwings went eh?

I also have to agree with the 2nd picture being great, as it seems as if they tree branches are going to break due to the numbers of them. Not to mention the last looking somewhat like bats.

im lucky if I see one bird in our garden! Love the shots

whoa, thats a lot of birds... nice series... that second one really captures the multitudes...
