Here's a shot I got when I visited Hong Kong last Summer. Taken from the Star Ferry as we left the Island for Kowloon.

the building on the left makes it look like it's got a ton of barrel distortion. But the buildings have nice reflections on them.

The curve on the building was part of the whole idea. Everytime you see shots of HK, it's at night with the lights on. Thought I'd try a different perspective. :)

DOES the building have that curve then?
For all the other distortion lines to the left and the right look all DIFFERENT. Straighter. Falling but falling in a straight diagonal, not bowed as if for that part only you had fisheye qualities to your lens!
And if so, why was that building built like THAT, I wonder?
Intriguing.

The building on the left has a gradual lean inwards from ground to roof. I feel it adds to the overall effect. By the way, I used my 18-55mm EFS lens. It was late afternoon and the lights were beginning to come on.
