Interesting picture. It looks as though it is deteriorating. That along with the white light and the spiral makes me think of death sort of. Not in a scary, creepy way though. More of a silent, solitary way.
I know, a little abstract...I guess thats the way my mind is today!

i love the way that when you first look at the picture, it makes you follow the spiral of the shell into the middle.. very interesting

It's definitely interesting, and also quite appealing to the eye. I think you could do something a bit better using a similar subject and effect though. Regardless, that's a nice shot.
