Thanks nyyphan and mentos, I did try cropping out the top, but it lost a lot of the sense of scale.

How interesting to see this one now, after I have just commented on CopenKagan's sky photo.
The clouds here (same as those that feature in the "Iron Giants" photos?) are even more ... THERE. Thicker, greyer, heavier ... making the "hole" look even more miraculous. Wow.
