Photos OK to edit
I am new to the forum and photography.

Question please: How do I add an image to the forum?

The image needs to be hosted somewhere. That can be a 'site like Flckr, facebook, "clouds" or your personal gallery here at TPF (Accessed via your profile page). Once the image has been uploaded, then it's simply a matter of copying the location, eg: http: www .picturinghostingservice.com/PJcam/Picture.jpg" and embedding that in the post between the "
" tags or clicking on the 'Embed image" icon in your post (green square next to the yellow emoticon).

Or.
You can drag and drop a photo from your computer into a post.
Which is what I did here.
It shows up under the box where we type our post and we can choose Thumbnail, Full Image, or Delete.

Is this just Jpg images KmH?

Or does it accept Tiff and other formats including Raw?

Probably.
Raw files can't be shown on the Internet.
TIFF files are usually to big (file size).
Sometimes I can't drag and drop .png files because they have to big a file size.

The file size limit seems to be about 2 Mb regardless the file type.
JPEGs at a low quality setting (small file size - a few 100 kb) look just fine.

Thanks guys

I will try this out in the Beginners Forum'. My 'First' images from my new camera in this my new hobby.

Don't expect to much I only got the camera just before the new year!

Thanks again for your help.
