How do you make an avatar?

I was not sure where to post this but I was wondering how to make an avatar for the forum. Still a newbie after all.

Hi

I'm not sure if you have anything such as paintshop pro or photoshop, but if you have, its all simple from there onwards.

1. Find a picture you like.

2. Go into PSP or PS

3. Open the image up and then click on image>image size

4. Click on the box that says constrain properties if its not already

5 Go to pixel dimension and put in 100 width, the height should go to what it should be automatically.

Then press okay and voila you have a avatar at the ready

Note : This is just the way i'd do it...maybe not for others

It has to be under 24.4kb as well.

One option is to upload a picture and ask users here to make it the right size for you. We'd be happy to help.

Thanks. I downloaded a trial of Photoshop CS so I'll give that a try.
