Just curious for those people that have been second shooter at say a wedding. How did you get the place of second shooter. I would love to shadow/be second shooter at a wedding but we have one girl in town who does photography for weddings, and one who thinks she should be and I dont want any part of her stuff.

Anyways the first person seems to think Im a threat and isn't that warm when I try to talk to her about photography. Fair enough. I don't need the drama.

I am practising my portraits on friends and family trying to learn and grow but how would you make that step to go learn wedding photography from someone. I live in a pretty small community. Nearest cities are Calgary, Red Deer and Edmonton a bit further north which are abundant with photogs.
