Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I was asked to set up a time lapse photo shoot for 36 hours. Ill have to rent a generator, watch the camera for the full time basically Im on my own. This is for a big company so I know they have money to spend. Im asking for $4,000 do you think this is fair?

Depends entirely on your experience and the quality of your work.... since I don't know that, I can't really say! Seems fair though.... that is a lot of hours!

id hire an assistant to watch for some of the time/ after setup. but sounds about right

yes I am sharing the duty with someone else, no way can I stay there for 36hours. its the day before thanksgiving( i teach hs so no way i can get that day off). i figured its 111$ an hour. I know a solid rate is $125 an hour so a lil break. thanks for the help guys.

In what variety of media types will they be using the images?

Define a 'big company'. For a large regional or national company I would charge my day rate ($1600 a day) - $4800 as a creation fee, and an additional usage license as a % of the media buy total.

Of course you would need a contract and a well written use license.

Visit www.asmp.com and on the left click on 'Business Resources' and get an education in part of the business of doing photography.

So you're doing a black Friday time lapse? Cars in a parking lot?

Just curious.

@ destin - pretty much

@ KmH - if I can profit $1500 or more Ill be happy. Each guy will get $1500 and the extra $1000 will go towards supplies etc... anything left over
from that will be profit.

All in all - I just wanted to make sure that I am not too high or too low.

Curious too. What company?

Yep. That's why they want to hire someone that lacks business acumen.

@ KmH - I do this on the side. I have a real job other than photography so this is just nice cash.

@ thinkricky - its for nbc
