There are loads of very pretty flowers and plants to photograph at Paignton Zoo as well as the animals.

1 - Fuchsia

2 - No idea what this is but there were also white ones there too. The dots/lights behind are where the sun hit the fencing.

3 - No idea what this is neither, I wanted a good picture of the bee but he wouldn't keep still...how rude

A while ago we bought a bouquet with a few flowers in it like in photo 3, the florist said it was a flower from New Zealand. It turns out afterwards that it was an Eryngium, or a thistle (there are a total of 230 species that occur from North America to Europe to New Zealand!) that is simply grown in the Netherlands (blue thistle) as an ornamental plant. I recognized the flower in photo 2, but the name did not come to mind, I did a quick search: it is a Cosmea, or as they apparently also call it cosmos.

Like the fuchia shot. I used to have a fushia plant in my backyard but it died. Humming birds loved it.
