how to prevent that red glare?

(on the top right corner) I have no i idea how to get rid of it and how to prevent it?
Help please!

It looks like it might be a cloud, illuminated by the Sun/Moon...? Maybe?

Are you using a lens hood?
(Though a hood probably would not have done much in this specific case.)

Take off your UV, etc.. filter that you probably have on your lens. You don't need it for "protection" as it would probably damage your lens worse since you would depend on it.... instead of using a nice big protective Lens Hood!
