How to start a sub thread within a thread

I have posted images to the 'Agricultural and Machinery thread, Im not sure if thats the exact name but it very similar. Anyway I would like to get feedback on the photos I will upload to this in the future, Ive tried posting a separate thread in General Forum but I don't get the same interest is there a proper way to introduce a sub thread, Ive seen the link method go wrong before as it confuses people.

Probably better to just start a new one; sub-threads might be considered hijacking, anyway. Or, at the least, trespassing / squatting.
