I thought it was a bit over exposed but I opened it in ACR and saw just the tiniest bit of highlight and shadow clipping.
So I think your exposure is good.

lately most pics on here look soft

resize it before you upload to photobucket... don't let them compress it. Make sure is is already 800x600 or whatever before you post it here... shouldn't have any issues that way.

Every single image I upload to flickr or image shack loses sharpness. It doesn't have anything to do with the photo forum.
Of course there are people here who will argue that, with you, but I know damn well what my eyes see.
