husband asking for advice selecting a gift

Hi,

my wife is a member here, although I don't think she's very active. I want to buy her a nice macro lens for her sony a100. I know just a little bit about this stuff, and a quick search didnt offer much.

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good lens for close ups for her camera.

50 or 85mm macro lens if you can find one.

Preference to 85mm

 

I just had to comment at how I admire your ability to hunt down that 'a' and make it red.

 

i know vbulletin. i just need help picking a good lens....that's why i'm asking you lot. i imagine you guys know your stuff.....judging by the quality of the pics i see on here.
